What’s included in the tour price?
Please check the web pages of individual tours, however we normally include the following. Airport transfer from Dalaman International. Quality hotel the night prior to a tour, throughout the tour and on the last night. Current model BMW R 1200 GS motorcycle, panniers and topcase. Motorcycle insurance. Breakfasts and some lunches and some evening meals where indicated. Fuel on most tours. Tour guide. Office support for transfers, forward destinations etc.

What’s not included in the tour price?
Flights and airport taxes. Visas. Entrance to historic sites. Lunches and dinners where indicated. Alcohol. Personal travel insurance. Additional activities such as boat trips.

What about the bikes?
We supply current model BMW motorcycles from the enduro range maintained to first-class condition. Most come fully loaded with ABS, heated grips, traction control (where available), panniers and top case.

Can I bring a friend or partner?
Yes of course. You can bring a pillion or even a non-rider. We can arrange accommodation and a holiday in our hometown of Göcek whilst you are on tour.

What distance do we ride each day?
Generally on tours we ride around 250km’s each day but this can vary according to the itinerary.

How difficult are the routes?
Each tour has an indicator of the level of difficulty however, most of our routes can be ridden by a competent motorcyclist. We generally ride on 80% good surfaced tarmac with forest tracks and trails making up the rest. All off-road sections are optional.

How many are there on each tour?
We limit the number of guest bikes to 8 on each tour. Additionally there will be a Bike Turkey guide on the tour.

What is the average age of the riders?
We open our tours to all riders over 21 years of age, however the age range tends to be between 30 and 70.

Do you do rental only?
Yes, you can rent a bike on a ‘self-drive’ basis.

How much experience do I need?
Our tours are for competent bike riders of an intermediate and higher level of riding. They are not suitable for new or beginner riders.

Do you offer training?
Most of our guides are instructors in Advanced Motorcycle Riding and we can offer training by arrangement.

What documentation do I need?
You need a passport valid for 6 months, a visa where necessary and a current motorcycle licence covering the power of bike you want to ride.

Do I need a visa for Turkey?
Visitors from many countries (eg. Germany, Greece, France, New Zealand, Japan, Australia) currently need no visa at all for Turkey, some others require a 90 day tourist visa (eg USA, UK, Australia, Spain) but this is usually obtainable on arrival at passport control for a small fee. You simply buy a sticker type visa and are able to enter. If you are not sure you should check with your local consulate, travel agent or a lot of information is available on the internet. How far from the airport are you?
We are only 20-minute transfer from Dalaman International Airport and a one-hour flight from Istanbul Ataturk Airport.

What languages do the guides speak?
All of our guides speak English and Turkish but other languages include German, French, Italian, Spanish and Japanese.

What type of accommodation do you offer?
All of our accommodation is in high quality boutique hotels on a single person occupancy basis with no supplement.

What about clothing?
On the bike: a motorcycle crash helmet must be worn whilst riding to comply with Turkish law. We also insist on proper protective motorcycle jackets, trousers, boots and gloves. For the hot summer months an airflow style jacket is more comfortable and winter months an inner fleece style body warmer is recommended under your jacket.
Off the bike: Turkey is very informal and casual wear is all you will need for evenings and non-riding days. You will need a lot less than you think so we recommend you pack very lightly.

How much luggage should I bring?
If you are coming to Turkey only for a motorcycle tour, you need very little luggage. Aside from your motorcycle clothing, you will only need some casual clothes for the evenings and non-riding days. Turkey is very informal and your should pack what you are most comfortable with and then half it!

Is the water OK to drink?
The water is safe to drink however, everywhere we travel bottled water is in abundant supply.

What about medical support?
You should bring any prescription medicines with you however, there are pharmacies everywhere in Turkey and most medicines are readily available over the counter. In the event of an emergency Turkey has a network of high quality private hospitals offering excellent medical care should you fall ill or have an emergency.

What is the local currency?
The local currency is Turkish Lira and you can change money at the airport, most hotels and tourist areas accept other currencies such as dollars, euros and pounds. You do not need a lot of cash, credit cards are readily accepted almost everywhere.

Is there an emergency contact number for me to give out?
We will provide you with an emergency number on which you can be reached whilst on your tour.

What about fuel for the bikes?
Fuel is never a problem in Turkey as it has an extraordinary number of petrol stations even in remote places however, it is expensive.

Are there any rest days?
On six-day trips there is always an optional rest day and on 10-day trips normally 2 optional rest days are built into the itinerary. If you choose to ride on these days we have local riding built into the schedule.

Do I need insurance?
The motorcycles all carry obligatory traffic insurance. There is an excess which has to be deposited for each bike.You should take out travel insurance to cover you against delay, lost baggage, medical expenses etc.

Can I extend my tour?
Quite often it’s possible to extend your tour over the regular itinerary. Please contact us if you have such a request.

Do you cater for vegetarians?
Turkey has fabulous cuisine and more often than not there is always a wonderful selection of vegetarian foods available.

Can I rent a Sat Nav?
Yes, we have number of Garmin 660GPS units for rent but they should be reserved at the time of booking.

What about panniers and top cases?
All bikes have optional panniers and top-cases.
